Associate Professor


Dr. Jiankui He is the first faculty member of Biology Department. Trained as physicist, his major interest is in the reading and writing the human genome. He developed the first single molecule sequencer built exclusively for clinic application. He recently focuses on the safety of CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing for clinic use.
